Calling LGBTIQ multicultural friends (individuals and groups) to get together for some friendly competition over barefoot lawn bowling. Great opportunities to build existing friendships and make new connections.
An alcohol-free, non smoking event for all abilities, ages (18 years and above) and cultures. We welcome all diversities!
Great finger food, prizes and entertainment (think music, dance and juggling acts).
Come dressed as your superhero or someone who inspired you (optional). Prizes for best dressed.
This is a partnership event between the Australian GLBTIQ Multicultural Council (AGMC) and Yellowkitties, proudly sponsored by Drummond Street Queerspace and the Victorian Government.
Why lawn bowling?
Lawn bowls is a low impact, precision sport where people with a physical disability can participate equally with able-bodied competitors – making the sport highly accessible. AGMC and Yellowkitties believe that the event can foster friendships and better appreciation of each other’s cultures, which will in turn inspire future collaborations and support through joint LGBTIQ events and mentorships.
